Listed are major events where a lot of volunteers are needed to help make them successful. Transporting Residents to and from these events is most helpful! 

Volunteer visits with Residents who tend to stay secluded and/or who don't often get visitors are invaluable! Not only will you make friends, but you will also be improving the lives of the people you meet.  Typically, a volunteer spends this time feeding, reading, playing card games, or just speaking with the Resident. 

Pet Therapy involves Equine Therapy as well as Dog Therapy.  We have limited Equine Therapy and numerous Dog Therapy volunteers.  Both are extremely helpful for our Residents.  To participate with your furry friend, you will need to bring in vaccination records and do a test run with the Recreation Department to make sure the dog is appropriate to have around our Residents.

Projects that are done either on grounds or off grounds for the purpose of engaging in an activity that either involves off site work i.e. finishing flag cases, writing/typing assignment from a resident or in house projects i.e. train set up, special class.  

Training will consist of a short orientation and any guidance you will need for specific duties.
