New Hampshire Veterans Home

Donut Day is every other Thursday and it's a big deal around here! We order donuts and pick them up fresh from Brother's Donuts in Franklin. A number of Residents and Staff pre-order their favorite flavors. Other are sold in The Main Street Store starting at 8am. In addition, a large assortment of donuts, with the ones pre-ordered for Residents are displayed on a cart that is pushed around the entire Vets Home - especially in and out of Residents rooms in Tarr, Welch and other neighborhoods. A staff member dresses up in a donut costume dancing with Residents to sugar themed oldies played on a speaker. Residents and Staff can purchase donuts from the cart and have a lot of fun doing so! One Volunteer is needed to help stock the cart and accompany it around the Vet's Home, helping Residents select a donut and tracking sales. (Donut attire is not required but welcome!!)
