Subject:  Program Delivery during COVID-19

Here’s a quick update on our current stance with respect to COVID-19.

Until further notice Alzheimer Society of Durham Region will begin to modify service delivery and community outreach to support system-wide efforts to slow the transmission of COVID-19 in the community. As we serve a population at high risk, we believe proactive measure will aid the health system in ensuring a robust response and best serve our collective interests. These measures will be re-assessed on an on-going basis, with regular updates provided on our website and through team check-ins.

What we are currently doing:

Our programs are now all available by phone and online. Planning is in place to return to face to face interactions when safe to do so. There will be Health and Safety Training available for those volunteers who will be involved in face to face programs/services.

Please click here to find more information about face to face interactions.

Management will continue to monitor and align with the preventative measures encouraged by Public Health, the Ministry and ASO.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
