Recreation Kit Social Group Presenter
Position Summary: Provide industry expertise in the design of the Recreation Kits, and lead an interactive online social group, presenting engaging content related to the theme and contents of the Kit. In line with Alzheimer Society of Durham Region’s (ASDR) mission and vision, to improve quality of life for persons living with dementia (PLWD) and their care partners, Recreation Kits are designed to engage PLWD in purposeful tasks to provide cognitive stimulation and social connection.
Roles, Responsibilities and Tasks
- Lead or present in online social groups for Persons Living with Dementia and Care Partners, demonstrate activity, encourage discussion of Recreation Kit contents and sharing of experiences
- Provide a safe and welcoming environment for PLWD/CPs to engage in open sharing
- Provide input and feedback about design and contents of Recreation Kits
- Adhere to ASDR policies and procedures
