Speakers Bureau
Travel throughout the Durham Region presenting information about Alzheimer's and Dementia to eager spectators. Discuss frequently asked questions with members of the community and help combat the stigma associated with dementia.
The purpose of this program is to broaden and entrench our impact in the community. Volunteers will be trained to carry the word about dementia and its impact on individuals and families to agencies, organizations and groups in the community who have potential to play an active role in developing future initiatives and supporting those already impacted. The Speakers Bureau team will assist with the recruitment of volunteers for our various initiatives and increase our capacity to serve the community. Volunteers will have the opportunity to help raise awareness of, and access to, our services which are available to support people with dementia and their care partners and families.
