About Nova Scotia Music Week

Since 1997, Nova Scotia Music Week (NSMW) has served as the premier gathering for the Nova Scotia music community, bringing together artists, industry professionals, and music enthusiasts for networking, professional development, and celebration. Over four days every fall, Music Nova Scotia curates a packed schedule featuring workshops, networking events, more than 100 live music showcases, an international and domestic buyers program, and the MNS Music and Industry Awards. The event provides an opportunity to learn, connect, and experience the incredible talent Nova Scotia has to offer.

NSMW is dedicated to showcasing the artists who make the province’s music scene so vibrant. Each year, Music Nova Scotia welcomes participants from across Canada and beyond to experience the essence of Nova Scotia—world-class music paired with renowned hospitality.

What sets NSMW apart is its rotating location, bringing the event to a different rural community annually. This approach not only highlights the exceptional talent found throughout the province but also provides a significant economic boost to local communities during the shoulder season. The event fosters a sense of community, supports local businesses, and celebrates the music that defines Nova Scotia.

NSMW is open to everyone. Whether an industry professional or a passionate music fan, attendees can purchase a delegate pass and immerse themselves in the experience.
