AAHS Community Partnerships

At Alexandria Area High School, there are a number of opportunities for the community to partner with students and staff. The Academies of Alexandria provide an innovative learning environment for students in which they can explore and experience more personalized authentic learning.

In 9th grade students are in the Freshman Exploration Academy where they explore about themselves, including their strengths and interests and how these may relate to careers. Students then select one of our three other academies to enter during the their sophomore year: Business, Communication & Entrepreneurship; Engineering, Manufacturing Technologies & Natural Resources; or Health Sciences & Human Services.

Community resources and partnerships are needed to share their guidance and field expertise with students and staff.
