Alexandria Public Schools

Conduct an interpretive reading and discussion group using material from the Junior Great Book Foundation. The leader helps students think about and understand good literature through discussion. It provides students with a reading experience in which they are drawn to read closely and purposefully in search of its meaning, while gaining good reading habits and skills and developing critical thinking skills.

Each leader assigned up to 12 students from one elementary grade level. First year leaders: Basic Leader Training Course required. Background check required.
