PATH Orange County

Thank you for your interest in supporting PATH in Orange County!

PATH is working to meet the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors by working on the front lines through street outreach, case management, and food support. Assistance from community members like you, from donating items to volunteering your time, allows us to focus on efforts on providing critically needed services.

OPEN DONATION DRIVES
One simple way you can support our guests is to host a drive for critically needed items! Invite your friends, family and community to gather commonly requested items, and then donate them to one of our sites. We are in need of a variety of items throughout the year. Below, you can see our current drive opportunities, as well as a list of commonly needed items.

Have any questions, or unsure of how to begin? Email PathOC@epath.org with any inquiries and we'll be able to provide any resources you may need to help you and your drive!

BLANKET DRIVE
Donations of blankets are needed throughout the year to support our new interim shelter guests when they first come to our program. When someone first arrives to one of our interim shelters, they are provided with several essential items to help them settle in, including a blanket for their bed. The ideal blanket size is a twin.

UNDERWEAR DRIVE
Clean underwear is one of the most commonly needed items amongst our unhoused guests, and we are always looking for more ways to meet the constant need. Donations of NEW underwear of all sizes is greatly needed not only to help clients maintain proper hygiene, but also to provide them with a sense of dignity they might not have had while on the streets.

To deliver life-saving supplies or kits to our unhoused neighbors:

      1. Purchase supplies via our Amazon Wishlist, and ship it straight to our offices,

ON-SITE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

**Please keep in mind that ALL volunteers must be 18 years or older to volunteer on-site.**

KITCHEN SUPPORT / PATH COOKS
PATH provides meals to our residents in interim housing. When groups sign up to provide and/or serve meals, it helps PATH focus its resources on providing housing and support services for our residents. You can volunteer to assist the cooks with prepping and serving meals, or come as a group and provide a meal yourself! Kitchen support shifts are available for sign-up on BetterImpact (currently only available for the Yale Navigation Center); if you and your group would like to participate in PATH Cooks for either of our locations, please reach out at PathOC@epath.org.

We understand not everyone is comfortable with on-site volunteering. If you still would like to support our kitchen operations, ask us about sponsoring a meal through a meal delivery service or catering!

DONATION SORTING
Keeping our donations organized allows our team to more easily grab the items they need for their clients. We are in need of volunteers to help sort, categorize, and label donated goods so they can be distributed to guests in need. This opportunity is currently only available at the Yale Navigation Center.

MONTHLY EVENTS
We have monthly onsite activities and events, ranging from bingo to arts and crafts to even karaoke. If you love a more hands-on opportunity to interact with guests, help assist with set up, welcoming guests, and supporting the staff with any needs during the event.

Interested in any of those opportunities? Fill in an application on the upper right corner! Feel free to reach out to PathOC@epath.org as well if you have any further questions or concerns.
