Thank you for your interest in supporting PATH in Orange County!
PATH is working to meet the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors by working on the front lines through street outreach, case management, and food support. Assistance from community members like you, from donating items to volunteering your time, allows us to focus on efforts on providing critically needed services.
REMOTE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
One way you can support our guests is to host a drive for critically needed items! See below for some common supplies that are in need:
WELCOME HOME KITS FOR NEWLY HOUSED RESIDENTS
Throughout the COVID-19 epidemic, PATH has been active in opening interim and permanent housing sites throughout the state. Help our residents feel safe and comfortable in their new homes by providing basic home goods, kitchen items, and cleaning supplies.
CARE KITS FOR ORANGE COUNTY
As you shop for personal items, pick up a few extra hygiene supplies to help residents at our interim housing sites transition into their permanent homes.
PET SUPPORT KITS
Help our pet residents feel safe and comfortable in their new home by providing basic pet goods, pet items, and pet cleaning supplies.
To deliver life-saving supplies or kits to our unhoused neighbors:
1. Purchase supplies via our Amazon Wishlist, and ship it straight to our offices,
2. Schedule a donation drop-off HERE
ON-SITE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
**Please keep in mind that ALL volunteers must be 18 years or older to volunteer on-site.**
KITCHEN SUPPORT / PATH COOKS
PATH provides meals to our residents in interim housing. When groups sign up to provide and/or serve meals, it helps PATH focus its resources on providing housing and support services for our residents. You can volunteer to assist the cooks with prepping and serving meals, or come as a group and provide a meal yourself! Kitchen support shifts are available for sign-up on BetterImpact (currently only available for the Yale Navigation Center); if you and your group would like to participate in PATH Cooks for either of our locations, please reach out at PathOC@epath.org.
We understand not everyone is comfortable with on-site volunteering. If you still would like to support our kitchen operations, ask us about sponsoring a meal through a meal delivery service or catering!
Keeping our donations organized allows our team to more easily grab the items they need for their clients. We are in need of volunteers to help sort, categorize, and label donated goods so they can be distributed to guests in need. This opportunity is currently only available at the Yale Navigation Center.
Have any specialized skillsets you'd like to share? Like to organize fun events? We welcome any volunteers who are willing to teach life skills (e.x. financial literacy) or offer exciting activities for our guests (e.x. dancing classes, music, yoga).
Interested in any of those opportunities? Fill in an application on the upper right corner! Feel free to reach out to PathOC@epath.org as well if you have any further questions or concerns.
