PATH is working to meet the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors as we all cope with the impact of the spread of COVID-19 in our community.  Remote volunteer projects provide critical support to those most at risk, and will help us save lives.

To deliver life-saving supplies to our neighbors on the streets:

ISOLATION/QUARANTINE KITS FOR COVID-19 SHELTERS PATH LA is working in close collaboration with the city and funders to support our homeless neighbors during this crisis. One of our newest initiatives has been the opening of several new quarantine and isolation sites to shelter folks who are at-risk or have tested positive for COVID-19. We are serving over 400 individuals at these sites through shelter, wraparound case management services and social support throughout the length of their stay.

Urgent Needs:

  • Hygiene Items: toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair brushes, sanitary napkins, adult diapers
  • Unused clothing, socks, backpacks, slippers - Isolation activities: books, markers, activity books, puzzles, board games (Jenga, Uno, cards, Scrabble, Dominos, Checkers, Chess, Connect 4), coloring books, crayons, puzzles, puzzle books, adult coloring, books, pencils
  • Drinks, snacks
  • Notes/cards of encouragement 

*For health and safety reasons, all items must be new & unopened.  

CARE KITS FOR OUTREACH As you shop for personal hygiene items, pick up a few extra supplies to help individuals currently experiencing homelessness . 
Urgent Needs:

  • Hand sanitizer
  • Soap & shampoo
  • Cleansing wipes
  • Socks & cold weather clothing*
  • Blankets*
  • Non-perishable snacks & bottled water 

*For health and safety reasons, all Care Kit items must be new & unopened.  

FOOD SUPPORT KITS FOR SENIORS Our neighbors living in supportive housing are among the most vulnerable to COVID-19.  We are in need of non-perishable food donations, so that they may remain safe and healthy in their homes.   
When you are next out grocery shopping, please consider filling your basket with a few extra food items and/or cleaning supplies to help our most vulnerable neighbors stay healthy.   
Food support bags can be assembled in cardboard boxes or reusable grocery bags. These kits will be distributed directly to those most in need.

  • Cereal
  • Rice or pasta
  • Canned goods
  • Non-perishable snacks
  • Cleaning supplies 

WELCOME HOME KITS FOR FAMILIES Every week, PATH moves dozens of previously homeless families off the streets and into homes. Help our new residents feel safe and comfortable in their new home by providing a "Welcome Home Kit" filled with basic home goods, kitchen items, and cleaning supplies. Welcome Home Kits are critical, especially amidst all the uncertainty of the global health pandemic. These kits not only meet our families’ essential needs, but they ensure that their space truly feels like home. 
Urgent Needs:

  • Bedding
  • Home goods (laundry hamper, bath mat, shower caddy)
  • Kitchen items (pots & pans, dishes, utensils)
  • Hygiene items (soap, shampoo, toothpaste)
  • Cleaning supplies
  • School Supplies
  • Target gift cards

PATH CARES ADVOCACY GROUP Help your homeless neighbors, while practicing safe social distancing at home. Advocate for PATH by sharing the work we do to end homelessness with your network.
