Adult Volunteer
The Wakefield Food Pantry depends on many volunteers. Currently, a dedicated group of volunteers, from guest support to Board of Directors, keeps the pantry running on a day to day basis. There are also countless other volunteers that are instrumental in bringing in food and funds on an ad-hoc basis. See Volunteer Opportunities in the section below.
Young Adult (18 and Younger)
For Volunteers 18 and under, a parent or guardian must complete the waiver.
There are many opportunities for students looking to fill school or civic organization requirements (such as scouts) and for those young adults who want to help their neighbors. This may include: special projects, stocking Little Pantries, and assisting at the Community Garden. To protect guest's confidentiality, volunteer opportunities are in non-guest facing roles.
Corporations & Community Organizarions
The Wakefield Food Pantry has a long history of partnering with local organizations to strengthen community ties and support food security. Through food and donation drives led by local businesses and corporations, partners help provide food and essential household items to neighbors in need, while receiving recognition in WFP newsletters, announcements, and on our website.
