From here you'll be able to manage your volunteer profile with us, apply for roles you may be interested in or contact the Voluntary Services Team here at Dorset County Hospital.
Once you have joined our team, you'll then be able to view shifts or roles you are assigned to, and in time, you'll also be able to complete or update your induction and refresher training when this is due.
Recruitment is now open for our Activity Team until 13th April 2026. Whether you'd like to chat to patients, read to them, work on some art with them or have a game of chess, we'd love to hear from you.
Please note, we are not currently recruiting for our Greet and Guide Team.

Volunteers at DCH provide invaluable support as part of the Patient Experience team. We value our volunteers and with volunteering now firmly embedded as part of the NHS long term plan, we are striving to ensure that we can offer a great volunteer experience. We have a variety of volunteering opportunities and roles on offer and our dedicated Volunteer Support Team will support you to find the right role, guide your through the recruitment process and make sure you are provided with the training necessary for you to undertake your volunteer role.
