Looking for opportunities for academic credit, program study, capstone projects, or gaining valuable experience in your field?

A New Leaf is committed to quality educational internships, preceptorships, & clinical experiences.

Internships: Education-related roles based on school major & school requirements (must be enrolled in or a recent graduate of an education institution)These are unpaid roles that place you with professionals in your chosen field to gain valuable experience. Spots fill up quickly and involve a New Intern Orientation so potential interns are encouraged to apply well in advance. Interns will be required to have fingerprint clearance card, background checks, and other requirements based on placement.

      • Customized internships are available based on school requirements and professional goals
      • Opportunities are available for a variety of skill & education levels (H.S./Certificate Programs/AA/AS/BA/BS/MA/MS/BSW/MSW/MFT/PhD, etc.)

Application process: Most communication during this process is done via email so please check inbox regularly, including your spam folders. Please provide as much information as possible about your internship including dates, # of hours, and all school/Course requirements. 

  1. Application
  2. Screening (usually a phone call - watch your email for instructions on how to schedule)
  3. Tour/Interview with potential site supervisor
  4. Acceptance (formal letter will be issued)
  5. Orientation (see more information below)

Qualifications vary by placement but may include:

  • 3 months commitment minimum
  • 10-20 hours per week
  • AZ DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • TB and Drug Screenings
  • Driver's License/Photo ID

 

Scheduled Onboarding Dates

Please prepare your schedules for the following onboarding requirements if accepted.

*If your school's start dates do not match the listed dates below we will work with you on a case-by-case basis. 

  • Fall 2024:
    • Monday, 8/26/2024 – Friday, 8/30/2024 
  • Spring 2023:
    • Monday, 1/6/2025 – Friday, 1/10/2025
