Welcome to the Urban League of Broward County's Volunteer Center!

Each year, our volunteers go above and beyond -- using their time and talent to support the work we do here at ULBC. We are truly grateful for the continued efforts that our volunteers and supporters provide that helps us make an impact in our programs and in the lives of our participants.

Thousands of people rely on our programs and in times of hardship and distress, our volunteers help us continue to be of service to others. Thank you in advance for being leaders in our work to empower communities and change lives.

About the Urban League of Broward County

Founded in 1975, the Urban League of Broward County (ULBC), is a community based, not for profit organization with a mission to enable African-Americans to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power, and civil rights.

As an affiliate of the National Urban League, the nation's oldest community-based movement devoted to empowering African Americans, the ULBC fills a unique role in the full spectrum of community providers in Broward County as we are currently one of a few organizations that focus profoundly on the provision of holistic supports that caters to and impacts the lives of the entire family unit. To accomplish our mission and vision, ULBC operates programs serving more than 13,000 individuals annually through a six-pronged approach in the service areas of Education, Entrepreneurship, Jobs, Justice, Housing and Health.
