JPCH - Child Life Zone Program Volunteer (18+)
Available shift: Mondays 1:30 - 3:30 PM
Help create joyful experiences for pediatric patients in the Child Life Zone by organizing supplies, arranging the space, decorating, and delivering materials to patient rooms for those unable to join the group. Partner closely with the Recreation Team to visit inpatient and clinic areas and invite families to upcoming programs. Connect with patients and families, offering encouragement and support before, during, and after activities. Make sure the Zone and supplies are thoroughly cleaned after each program, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for everyone.
Successful volunteers in the Child Life Zone:
- have excellent communication and organizational skills
- have experience with children
- have the ability to take initiative
- are friendly and fun!
Applicants must be able to commit to a weekly shift.
