Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer with Hospice by John Knox Village!

Volunteers are at the heart of hospice care. Whether you're looking to spend time with patients, visit with your friendly pet, support Veterans, help families, assist in our office, or use your unique talents in another way, your kindness can make a meaningful difference.

No previous hospice experience is required—just compassion, reliability, and a willingness to serve. We provide the training and support you'll need every step of the way.

As a volunteer, you may have opportunities to:

• Visit patients in their homes or care communities
• Offer companionship, conversation, reading, games, music, or simply a comforting presence
• Participate in Veteran recognition ceremonies
• Share your certified therapy or friendly pet with patients
• Assist with administrative and office projects
• Support special events and community outreach
• Help in many other ways based on your interests and availability

To ensure the safety of our patients and volunteers, all volunteers complete an application, interview, background check, health screening, and training before being matched with an assignment.
