Volunteer with Hospice by John Knox Village

Petting a friendly dog can be comforting, help with reminiscing, even decrease feelings of loneliness and depression. Spending time with an affectionate dog can also bring a sense of normalcy to hospice patients and their families. 

If you are interested in sharing your friendly pet with someone who could use a lift, this is definitely the volunteer position for you!

The following is required for all Friendly Pets:

• Current record of immunization shots;
• Volunteer manager must meet pet to determine dog's demeanor; and
• All dogs must have have a certificate of completion of training and success in obedience training.
