Meals on Wheels Volunteers deliver nutritious meals to clients assessed as needing support with nutrition.

Volunteer picks up meals at given time from the outlet and delivers to client in their home.

Activities include Provide support for Recreation programming, read to residents, assist with resident and family barbecues, help with bus trips to go on a picnic or a drive in the country or to Yorkton.

Days and times will vary and be on a casual basis, depending on the activity that is planned. Recreation worker will work with volunteer to assist with activities when she is available.

The Horticulture Associate will be able to bring joy to residents. They will share talents in garden, visit with elders of the community and improve the resident's outdoor experience
They assist residents in caring for the outdoor space we have during our Spring/summer/ fall season.
Duties may include: Watering, feed, transplant plants, weed plant beds, trim/prune plants as required, maintain tidiness in garden area.
Provider volunteers interact with members of the community contributing to the mental, social, emotional, and physical well-being of residents. The entertainment volunteer will provide opportunities for residents to be able to sing along and socialize.
This may include entertainment from group choirs, bands, individual piano players, piano/guitar recitals, dance groups, school entertainment, old time dancing groups, story tellers, etc.
Entertainers are responsible for their own set up and take down of equipment, and their own transportation to and from the site.
Position : providing one to one support with residents. setting up chapel for service, assisting with serves, hymns, readings. Spending time with residents in common areas (Chapel, dining room) or in residents rooms and off site as indicated.
Dates and times will vary with times of services and as needed. Recreation is present on weekends as well.

This is an ongoing casual activity.
Palliative Care training will be required.
The Recreation Associate assists with various activities at the site. They encourage client's participation in activities.
Recreation Associate are the extra pair of "helping hands" that add to the trained services of the Long-term care facility staff, working together to enhance the lives of residents
Activities include, but are not limited to: Reading groups, puzzles, games, bingo, nail painting, going for walks, group painting, crafts, exercise programs, and special events like Christmas parties and teas. Birthday parties, volunteer group outings.

Spiritual Care is essential for Mind, Body and Health.
The volunteer will visit patients/family who have requested a visit from a St. Anthony's Hospital Spiritual Care Volunteer. Family is not always available or near our facility.
Our volunteers are available to listen, chat with a patient, say prayer if requested. When we have mass a volunteer is available to accompany a patient to the chapel. At times, a patient just wants someone to hold their hand, especially if they've had upsetting news.
Shifts available in the afternoon, once a week, depending upon the day and the client.
Volunteers will come in and sing, play piano and help turn pages of the song books with the church. They will always be supervised and will not leave the recreation area.
Bands will come in to entertain. They will be supervised at all times and will not leave the recreation area.

They will assist in encouraging and engaging residents to participate in the programs.
