Dogs - Puppy Caregiver (PCG)
[in home dog care]
Puppy caregivers (sometimes shortened to PCG) house pups for short periods during transition periods between training programs, during trainer vacations, when pups come out of our prison program for medical care, and in cases of emergency.
-
No training responsibilities but are responsible for following EENP policies and standards to keep pups healthy and safe during their stay.
-
These can be as short as a weekend or as long as a few months!
-
We post opportunities on our website and when we need care urgently we will send an email or text with information about the dog.
Easy entry point for dog care activities! No long-term commitment required, and you can see details about the dog before you sign up.
Extra requirements beyond most volunteer activities:
- sign Canine Volunteer Agreement
- learn canine care guidelines and pass online quiz every four months
- if you have a pet dog or dogs in your home, bring your dog(s) to EENP for a pet dog assessment to be sure your dog will be happy with EENP dogs in the home
