Lock Box Program
The Lock Box Program gives emergency responders (police, fire, and EMS) an efficient and safe method to enter homes without causing damage and expense associated with forced entry. Citizens eligible for this service include Round Rock senior citizens and individuals with limited physical mobility.
Volunteers install a coded key-box on the exterior of the home with a spare key to the residence. When dispatch receives a call from a Lock Box Program residence, the dispatcher relays the lock box code and other pertinent information to the emergency responder.
