Frozen Meals
- Our Frozen Meals volunteers sort and/or deliver frozen meals to senior clients (55+) in the Dundas community. Sorting includes 2 hours of receiving, sorting, bagging and tagging meals at the DCS office. Delivery includes up to 10 stops to multiple single-family homes as well apartment buildings. Volunteers are also required to report any issues or concerns to the program coordinator with a call and/or visit to the DCS office (e.g. client not home to receive meal).
- Wednesday meal sorting at the DCS office between 9:00am-11:00am
- Wednesday meal delivery between 11:00am-1:00pm
- Minimum 2 delivery shifts per month or 2 sorting shifts per month.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
- Provide proof of a valid G driver's license with minimum of $2 million in liability insurance.
- Must have access to a reliable, clean (interior), and insured vehicle. Proof of insurance is required.
- Ability to safely lift up to 30 pounds and carry a cooler bag filled with meals.
- Proof of current (within the last six weeks) and clear Vulnerable Person's Sector Check.
