Welcome Landscape and Car Park Volunteer

We are looking for 2 Welcome Landscape and Car Park Volunteers for one Wednesday a month to support the Woodland Team in maintaining the welcome landscape and car park of RHS Bridgewater. For the other three Wednesdays of the month, these volunteers will be a part of the Wednesday Woodland and Estates volunteer team.

This role will include digging out plants such as Vinca, Lamium and Bog Rosemary, tidying up the pathways and flower bed edges, planting grasses and shrubs, wildflower seed sowing and collection (seasonal), taking cuttings eg. cornus, habitat creation and pruning of the willow and cornus. You will be involved in the planning and monitoring of this large area of the garden, which stretches from Leigh Road to the Welcome building at RHS Bridgewater. This role is physically demanding, involving a lot of walking so requires a reasonable level of fitness.

We’re looking for 2 volunteers on Wednesdays (8am – 1pm) inc. breaks.

Please note: Applications for this volunteering role may close at any time if a suitable applicant is found.

Please read the attached Welcome Landscape and Car Park Volunteer role description for more details about what's involved and who the role might suit.
