Adopt-a-Project - Laurel Street Pots: UC Master Gardeners
The Laurel Street Pots are maintained by volunteers with the Master Gardeners of San Mateo & San Francisco Counties.
In February, 2021, the Master Gardeners volunteers Charlene Landreau and Erica Richter signed on to the City of San Carlos’ Adopt a Project program. Their goal was to replant and beautify the large container pots in the downtown area of Laurel Street. A partnership was created between the Master Gardeners, the non-profit organization San Carlos Together, and the City of San Carlos. Fast forward to June 2021, and the plants have taken off, flowers are emerging; bees and lady bugs can be seen if you stop to take a look.
