Patient Services volunteers visit wards Monday to Friday mornings to chat with patients and to provide magazines/books, laundry services and any other non-professional support that will assist patients during their stay in hospital.

Key Tasks:

• Visit wards as allocated and offer service to inpatients who have minimal family support e.g.country patients
• Distribute Friends leaflets, magazines, newspapers, Laundry service forms and small purchases
• Offer shopping, laundry service 
• Check for phone messages and the Information/Day book for Patient Laundry requests

• Adhere to infection control guidelines as directed
