Volunteers provide an essential concierge service in the Emergency Department and at Victoria Square entrance.
It is often helpful to be guided to where you need to go in a large unfamiliar environment like RPH.
This service also includes assisting patients in the Transit Lounge who are waiting to go home.

Key Tasks:

• Provide Concierge Service to public at Victoria Square Entrance
• Provide Concierge Service In Emergency Department
• Transit Lounge assisting  patients and staff
• Identify and assist people who require wayfinding support by providing direction, if necessary, escorting, them to their required location within the hospital
• Provide general information relating to hospital facilities and services
• Assist with arranging taxis and provide information on public transport services
• If a wheelchair is required for a patient, the volunteer can take the patient to the located if they have had mandatory training in wheelchairs assistance
• Alternatively the ward clerk or reception will contact the call room for orderly assistance
