Walk to Defeat MND - Volunteer Snow Cone Attendant Help us make history! Volunteer your fun energy and valuable time to make an incredible impact in your community! Looking for a fun and refreshing way to give back? MND Queensland is seeking Volunteer Snow Cone Attendants to help bring smiles (and cool treats!) to Motor Neurone Disease QLD’s iconic Walk to Defeat MND Cairns on Sunday 7 June at McKenzie Street Parkland, Cairns. Your enthusiasm to serve will help make the day extra special - particularly for children and families attending the walk. 🚶♂️💙 This annual event brings together the community to honour, remember, and support those affected by Motor Neurone Disease. As a valued MND volunteer you will share your energy in a fun and meaningful environment and meet incredible people who share a passion for making a difference. About the role As a Volunteer Snow Cone Attendant, you will support MND Queensland by making snow cones for attendees to purchase during our Walk to Defeat MND event. Your role helps keep people refreshed and creates a fun, family-friendly atmosphere while supporting an important community fundraising and awareness event. No prior experience is needed, just a positive attitude and willingness to help! When: Sunday 7th June What Time: 7.30am to 12.30pm Where: McKenzie Street Parkland, Esplanade, Cairns North IMPORTANT EXTRA: You will need to come prepared for a day in the sun – wear comfortable, closed toed shoes, slip, slop, slap and bring a hat! All equipment, ingredients and training will be provided by MND Queensland. By volunteering your time and positive vibes, you’ll be helping MND Queensland raise vital funds and awareness to support people living with MND and their families. You’ll be part of a supportive, community-focused event and help create joyful moments on an important day. Please note: Our volunteer personal accident insurance requires volunteers to be at least 12 years old. Children aged 14 and under must attend with a parent. Insurance coverage is provided up to age 75. Volunteers aged over 75 may still participate but should be aware that insurance coverage is limited. |
