Join MND Queensland’s Volunteer Team and celebrate Christmas in July with us! Secure your spot now to help us spread Christmas magic and make a difference for people living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND)!

We’re looking for friendly *Christmas Elf* volunteers to join our Christmas Gift Wrap Team for the 2026 festive season. You’ll be wrapping gifts at local shopping centres, sharing your Christmas spirit and helping raise vital funds for MND Queensland.

Whether you’re an individual, keen to come with friends, your family, or a community group – everyone’s welcome! 🎄🎁

When: Saturday 19, Sunday 20, and Thursday 24 December 

Where: Cannon Hill Plaza, 1909 Creek Rd, Cannon Hill

What Time: Morning and Afternoon time slots across these days

Please specify if you have specific dates and times available over this period.

As the Christmas Gift Wrap Volunteer, you will be:

• Wrapping gifts neatly and with care for customers at designated shopping centre gift wrap station
• Providing friendly, positive customer service and represent MND Queensland professionally
• Handling donations and transactions responsibly, following provided guidelines
• Maintaining a tidy and inviting wrapping station
• Assisting with setting up and packing down the wrapping area as needed

About you:

• A festive spirit who enjoys beautifully and neatly wrapping gifts
• Friendly, approachable and comfortable chatting with shoppers

• Comfortable handling donations or small cash transactions

• Passionate about helping others and making a difference
• Reliable and punctual
• BONUS – You have a Santa hat or elf apron that you’ll wear on the day! 🎅

Please note:

Our volunteer personal accident insurance requires volunteers to be at least 12 years old. Children aged 14 and under must attend with a parent.

Insurance coverage is provided up to age 75. Volunteers aged over 75 may still participate but should be aware that insurance coverage is limited.
