Love meeting people, customer service, and spreading awareness of Motor Neurone Disease and MND QLD? Join us at Westfield Chermside on Sunday 21st, June to help run our MND QLD community table raising awareness and vital funds for Global MND Awareness Day! 

Sell merchandise, chat with the community, and support Queenslanders living with Motor Neurone Disease - no experience needed, just your enthusiasm!

About the role:

As Volunteer Community Table Assistant, you will support MND Queensland by engaging with members of the public, selling MND Queensland merchandise, and representing the organisation in a positive and professional manner at our merchandise stall at Westfield Chermside.

This is a great opportunity to support people living with Motor Neurone Disease while helping raise awareness and vital funds in the community.

Where: Westfield Chermside, Gympie Road, Brisbane QLD 4032

When:  Sunday 21st June

What Time: 10am to 1:30pm OR 1:30pm to 5pm (You can nominate your preferred day/time when you sign up)

IMPORTANT EXTRA: We will need a volunteer to pick up the merchandise (and drop it back again) to/from our Oxley Office prior to and after the event. If you can do this, please nominate when you sign up!

You will be:

• Selling MND QLD merchandise using cash and EFTPOS transactions
• Greeting and engaging with members of the public
• Sharing information about MND Queensland and the services we provide
• Representing MND QLD in a friendly, respectful, and professional way
• Assisting with set-up and pack-down of the merchandise stall (as required)

About you

• Friendly, approachable, and confident interacting with the public
• Comfortable handling money including Square and Eftpos Machines (support and instructions provided)
• Reliable and punctual
• Able to follow directions and work as part of a small team
• Passionate about supporting people living with MND

By volunteering your time and positive vibes, you’ll be helping MND Queensland raise vital funds and awareness to support people living with MND and their families.

Please note:

Our volunteer personal accident insurance requires volunteers to be at least 12 years old. Insurance coverage is provided up to age 75. Volunteers aged over 75 may still participate but should be aware that insurance coverage is limited.
