Become a Zero Waste Ambassador at Toronto’s largest farmers market! ♻️
Joins us as a Zero Waste Ambassador, a superhero for sustainability at our farmers market! In partnership with Muuse, our zero-waste dishware program is on a mission to reduce single-use disposables, and we need your help to make the Saturday Farmers Market at Evergreen Brick Works even more sustainable.
What does a Zero Waste Ambassador do?
♻️Be a Sustainability Advocate – Educate our community about simple, practical ways to reduce waste.
🎉 Lead Fun & Interactive Activities – Plan and host creative activities, information boards, and art installations that raise awareness about our Reusable Dishware Program and our Zero Waste Shopper Guide to inspire our community to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle.
🙌 Collaborate with a Community of Changemakers – Work alongside like-minded volunteers who care about sustainability.
📸 Capture and Create Social Media Content (Optional) – Capture photos/videos for social media or contribute to zero waste resources.
💪 Support as Needed – Assist with replenishing reusable dishware at vendor booths, keeping the dish return station tidy, and distributing/collecting clean dishes to/from vendors. (No dishwashing required!)
Oh, and did we mention this role involves some muscle power? Don't worry, if lifting heavy things isn't your jam, just let us know and we'll find a way to accommodate you.

Our Saturday farmers market is bustling with energy, and we want your passion for sustainability to inspire others!
🗓️ When: Take your pick from two shifts on Saturdays:
- Indoor Season (November to April): 8 am – 11:30 am or 11 am - 2:30 pm
- Outdoor Season (May to October): 7 am – 11 am or 11 am - 3 pm. 15 mins break will be provided in each shift.
📍 Where: Our farmers market is located at Evergreen Brick Works (550 Bayview Ave). Accessible by TTC bus at Davisville Station or our free shuttle bus outside Broadview Station.
🌿 Commitment: We're asking for a minimum of 4 shifts every 2 months.

Qualifications Required
- Are you in either of these age ranges? Some volunteer roles are restricted based on age. Must be at least Volunteers 14 and under will volunteer with parent/guardian
- In which region would you like to volunteer? Must be Greater Toronto Area
- English language skills Must be at least Basic
