SCHOOL LINKED YOUTH PROGRAMS - RISE- David Douglas High School
The Refugee and Immigrant Student Empowerment (RISE) program is an educational enrichment program for recently arrived refugee and immigrant students in grades 9-12. RISE is delivered as a drop-in program that provides tutoring services to an average of 15-25 students a day. RISE aims to develop the academic skills and confidence to support the success of these students in American educational systems through tutoring, conversational activities, art-based activities, field trips and workshop
