We urgently need people like you to help provide emergency support given increased visitor restrictions, screening of visitors and furloughed staff. Despite our very best efforts, we are experiencing staffing challenges and volunteers willing to go above and beyond play a critical role in the days ahead.

As a Seniors Temporary Assistance and Response (STAR) Volunteer, you could :

• welcome visitors to the facility and ensure they comply with screening requirements
• help residents facetime, zoom call or phone their families
• provide 1-1 assistance and social support
• provide assistance with leisure activities including puzzles, games, jigsaws and books
• provide assistance at meal times
• support connections between residents and their families
• provide all round assistance including administrative support and stock distribution.

Essential Requirements

• National Police Clearance (screened in accordance with the organisation’s policies)
• Influenza and Covid-19 vaccinations as per the WA Health Directives
• Signed statutory declaration.
• Complete short rapid competency training and orientation.
