ROLE PURPOSE:

Baptistcare’s Music Connection Program aims to provide individual residents with a playlist of their music that connects them with their past and who they are. These are downloaded onto ipods that enable the person to share their music and their memories with others. This technology has proved very successful in enriching the lives of our residents, particularly those with dementia.

We are seeking individuals who are able to spend time connecting with our residents in Salter Point through the music that is special to them. You will be giving people living in aged care, an opportunity to enjoy songs from their past. You will be contributing to their sense of belonging and help to prevent the social isolation that often results from living in an aged care facility.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• National Police clearance, to be renewed every three years
• Signed declaration and confidentiality agreement
• Evidence of current COVID19 vaccinations
• Evidence of current influenza vaccination

• Baptistcare has a responsibility and a commitment to our volunteers to ensure we provide you with appropriate orientation, training, supervision, and encouragement to maximise your volunteering experience and have a positive impact on the life of people under our care. Once you have completed the first steps in our recruitment process, you will  be given access to Baptistcare online training database and you will be asked to complete short mandatory trainings specific to your Baptistcare volunteer role
