The Bus driver assists our residents to enjoy bus trips to local places of interest.

It is important for our residents to still feel connected to the local community and to do things they enjoy. As Bus Driver, you will be supporting small group of residents to enjoy scenic drives and visit specific localities. A Baptistcare staff member will be present on all outings.

The Bus Driver will drive the vehicle. As required and with the support of staff, you will also assist residents on and off the bus, ensure correct use of seatbelts and other restraints for equipment, and accompany residents at the outing location.

Requirements for this Role:

This role would suit someone with the following qualities

• Suitable Driver’s License with good driving record
• Commitment and reliability
• Friendly, understanding and patient nature.

The following are required for all volunteers working in aged care in Australia

• National Police clearance, to be renewed every three years
• Clean and current WA Driver's licence
• Signed statutory declaration and confidentiality agreement
