Eastern Health Volunteer Services
The role of a volunteer at Eastern Health is to enhance the experience of patients, families and visitors who attend our sites.
To be eligible to volunteer, applicants must be:
- over 18 years of age
- willing to undertake an online police check (arranged by Eastern Health)
- willing to have an annual influenza vaccination.
- strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice).
- willing to sign a Position Description and Volunteer Agreement
- willing and able to wear appropriate PPE including N95 Masks
- commit to a minimum of 12 months (Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP) is flexible)
- able to attend a 3-4 hour volunteer shift weekly or fortnightly
- Respect and maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times
- dependable and reliable
- willing to apply for a Working with Children Check (WWCC) if the role requires it.
- Be competent in the use of computers for mandatory online training (support can be provided)
