At Cat Haven, every volunteer plays a vital role in helping give homeless, lost, and abandoned cats a second chance. Whether you're passionate about animal welfare, enjoy working behind the scenes, or have specialist skills to share, there's a place for you on our team.

Shelter Operations
Assist with cleaning, enrichment, laundry, administration, and creating a safe and comfortable environment for the cats in our care.

- You must be 18 years or older

We ask that volunteers are available for 1-2 four-hour shifts per fortnight. We understand that everyone has different availability, so we aim to be flexible where possible and also offer occasional ad hoc volunteering opportunities.
- You should be physically fit, comfortable with bending, squatting, kneeling and able to safely lift up to 10kg
- You should be able to follow instructions, work independently when required and complete tasks safely and effectively
- You should be comfortable interacting with staff, fellow volunteers and members of the public, providing assistance where needed
- You must be willing to obtain a National Volunteer Police Clearance (currently $24) or provide a clearance that is less than 6 months old
