Conservation Volunteer Program- Blunt Nosed Leopard Lizard

Blunt Nosed Leopard Lizard Field Work Volunteer Program: Each volunteer will be paired with an experienced lizard surveyor and receive training in our field protocols during their volunteer day. Field days typically last around 9 hours but may occasionally run longer. The field site is in the Panoche Hills about 1.5 hours west of Fresno. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Requirements: Must be prepared for extensive walking. The field site can get very hot, so it’s important to stay hydrated and take breaks as needed. Bathrooms (pit toilet or port a potty) will be available upon arrival, at lunchtime, and upon departure. Additional bathroom stops can be made. Cell service at our field site is spotty and at times unavailable (although most have cell reception where we eat lunch).

Time Commitment: A minimum of 1 time/per week on the same day of the week for 3 weeks (total of 3 field days).
