Docent classes begin January 2025 and conclude in March 2025. The training meets once a week on Tuesdays for 10-weeks. Classes include information on conservation, animal behavior and interpretive techniques.

There is no program fee for this opportunity.

As a Docent, you will have the opportunity to participate in Zoo Education Department programs including zoo tours, activity carts, community outreach, and storytelling. Docents also assist and support the zoo by participating in zoo special events such as Zoo Boo and Ice Cream Zoofari. Volunteer opportunities include on-site and off-site activities. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
