Ward befriender volunteer - Hertfordshire

 Role Description

Brighten a patient's day by becoming a Ward Befriender Volunteer! You'll provide companionship and support to patients in hospital wards across various locations in London and Hertfordshire.

What you'll do

  • Visit patients in the ward and offer friendly conversation.

  • Engage patients in fun activities to help lift their spirits.

  • Assist patients in welcoming new arrivals to the ward.

  • Help patients use technology to stay connected with loved ones.

Location

  • Langley House, Watford

Availability:  Monday to Sunday, 9am-5pm. 4 hours per week.

You'll be a great fit if you have

  • A friendly and proactive personality.

  • The ability to use your initiative and seek help when needed.

  • A strong understanding of confidentiality.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Comfort working independently or as part of a team.

  • DBS Required

  • Minimum 6 months commitment
