Patient Engagement Volunteer - Children's Services

Role Description:
Support our team of Community Paediatricians in Brent to collect feedback from our patients to shape the future of our service for the local community. The feedback we collect from patients supports our service to improve and informs about the experience of patients when they attend their appointments.
You’ll be making a massive difference to a patients’ experience and help us reach more people who need our help.
Location(s):
Monday – Thursday mornings
- Wembley Centre for Health and Care
- Willesden Centre for Health and Care
- Chalk Hill Primary Care Centre
Duties:
- Engage with patients when they attend their Paediactric appointments to ask about their experience
- Provide a warm and safe environment for patients before and after their appointment in the clinic space
- Provide support in filling out a short questionairre – either face to face or via a telephone call
- Contact patients after their appointment to provide a safe space to feedback. You will be provided with Telephone interpreter log in details, when you need to converse with patents who require interpreter services.
- Collaborate with the team to proactively collect feedback on the service
- Provide a friendly approach and a listening ear · Feedback on trends and outcomes with the clinical team.
Skills or Experience:
- Has excellent communication skills, be empathetic and non-judgemental.
- Treats all people with politeness, dignity and respect.
- Has patience and the ability to relate and respond well to people.
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and following procedures.
- Is able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Will be reliable and punctual.
- Has good IT and administrative skills.
Desirable:
- Previous administration experience
- Multi-lingual
