Care Home Befriender - Merton


Come and join us as a Care Home befriender volunteer and make a resident’s day by visiting them. If you would like to help with fun activities, friendly chats and keeping residents company with personalised befriending, this is the role for you.

Location
Care Homes across South West London covering:

  • CR4
  • SW16
  • SW19
  • SW20
  • SM3
  • SM4

Availability
This role has shifts available Monday - Friday, 9am - 4pm

Desirable skills

  • You’ll be friendly and proactive
  • You’ll be able to use your initiative and ask for help when needed
  • You’ll understand the importance of confidentiality
  • You’ll be a good communicator with excellent people skills in person
  • You’ll be comfortable volunteering within a group or by yourself
  • You’ll be willing to embrace the importance of the use of psychosocial interventions
  • You’ll be able to work with a wide range of people including people with cognitive impairment
