Men's Health Event - Support Onsite, Make a Difference in One Day!

Volunteers: up to 10 volunteers
Who will see the difference? Underserved communities who are at greater risk.
The Healthy Ealing Team (part of West London NHS Trust) are planning a community health outreach event for asylum seeker men living at the Hampton by Hilton Hotel in West Ealing on Tuesday 2nd June. The event will offer free health checks and health information in a safe, welcoming and culturally sensitive environment, with the aim of improving access to healthcare and supporting the wellbeing of underserved communities within Ealing.
The volunteering activity
We are looking for 6–10 volunteers to support a men’s health outreach event for asylum seekers living at the Hampton by Hilton Hotel in West Ealing on Tuesday 2nd June.
The event will provide free health checks and health information in a welcoming and supportive environment. We are particularly looking for volunteers who speak:
- Arabic
- Farsi
- Pashto
- Urdu
- Amharic
- Tigrinya
Volunteers will help translate health information, support conversations between attendees and healthcare professionals, and help create an inclusive and culturally sensitive atmosphere for residents accessing the service.
This is a great opportunity to support underserved communities, improve access to healthcare, and contribute to reducing health inequalities within Ealing. No clinical experience is required — just strong communication skills, empathy, and a willingness to support others.
