Timings: 9:00am-6:30pm
Volunteers: Up to 6 volunteers

Diwali & Bandi Chor event of the year at Trust Headquarters. Get ready to immerse yourself in the festival of lights, joy, and unity!
What to expect:
A vibrant cultural experience, exquisite Diwali decorations, guest speakers, traditional Indian cuisine, mesmerising live music & dance performances.
Painting of Diyas: Unleash your creativity with our Diya painting station. We provide the Diyas, paints, and brushes for you to create your own unique designs. There will be a prize for the best decorated Diya!
Henna artist: Adorn your hands with intricate and beautiful Henna designs. Our skilled Henna artist will be on hand to create stunning patterns that capture the essence of Diwali.
Delicious Food: Treat your taste buds to a culinary journey with a spread of mouth-watering Diwali delicacies. From traditional sweets to savoury snacks, our food corner offers a delectable selection to satisfy every craving.
Live Performance: Get your dancing shoes on and dance to the Sounds of Bhangra beats. Join us for the live Bhangra dance performance and workshop, the one with best dance moves wins a prize!
The volunteering activity
We will require support with:
- Setting up the room with the furniture
- Putting up decorations
- Event stewarding (including supporting ticket collections at the door and letting staff into the event)
- Set up/clear down of tables at start and end of the event and take down the decorations and put them back in the cartons/ bags.
- Clearing, tidying and restoring the room to its original layout at the end of the event, disposing of any waste appropriately, and ensuring the venue is left clean and ready for use to others.
Considerations
You are likely to be on your feet for significant periods of the day and some lifting and moving of equipment will be required. Car park facilities are available at the site.
