Psychological Services Work Experience Week - Support on site and make a difference in a day

Date: Tuesday 31st March and/or Wednesday 1st April 2026
Location: Broadmoor Hospital (Learning and Development Centre), Berkshire

Timings: 9.00am - 1600pm
Volunteers: Up to 2 volunteers per day

Are you passionate about helping inspire young people with a career in healthcare?
West London NHS Trust will be running a Psychological Professions Work Experience Programme between 31st March to 1st April 2026. Approximately forty students between the ages of 15 and 19 will be attending the programme, all of whom have stated an interest in a future psychological profession and have been selected to participate .
The volunteering activity:
- Arriving at 09.00 (30 minutes before the first session) for a brief induction
- Welcoming and registering students on arrival
- Guiding and directing students throughout the day
- Supporting networking and facilitating introductions during breaks
- Assisting the event organisers with any issues or concerns raised by students
Key considerations:
We will advise about allergies for this cohort. We kindly request no peanut food items are brought into the building / eaten during the work experience.
