Appointment Reminder Volunteer - Diabetes Service

Could you help us reduce our patient non-attendance rates so that their care is not delayed?

There is an expected minimum commitment of once a week for at least 6 months.
- Volunteer role, expenses paid
- Location: Ealing, West London

West London NHS Trust is one of the most diverse providers of mental health, community and social care in the UK.

Our Diabetes service offers diabetes care review for complex cases across Ealing. As an Appointment Reminder Volunteer you will be volunteering alongside our Health Centre Administration staff by calling patients to remind them of their appointments, these could be via telephone or face to face.

When patients miss appointments, it delays their care. You will have the ability to provide essential support to our patients to confirm their appointments, understand reasons why they may not attend before they DNA and refer for support and liaising with Diabetes admin team to rebook or cancel appointments in a timely manner.

In return we will offer you:

• An exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative service that will make a real difference to our patient care.

• An induction, training, support and supervision in your role

• Agreed and reasonable out-of-pocket expenses

• An excellent opportunity to build on your skills and understanding of the NHS
