Volunteering with West London NHS Trust

Date: anticipated for Early Dec - 1 day

Location: West London, Southall (HQ) or remote volunteering option 

Timings: to be confirmed with your availability 

Volunteers: up to 15

Who will see the difference? newly admitted patients, particularly patients whose first language is not English

Clayponds is an inpatient hospital for people who need physical rehabilitation in a community setting

To make our care welcoming and inclusive for all, we are producing a video to give all patients an introduction to hospital life.  This short film will be shown to patients upon arrival to enable a well-informed and comfortable stay for them.

We are looking for volunteers who can speak the following languages:

As a volunteer speaking one or more of these languages you will help ensure our patient admission experience and information on the video is inclusive for all by helping record translated audio for a 6 minute video

The volunteering task:

We will require support with;

 - Pre-recording task of preparing a script from English to your community language for reading during audio recording

- Recording audio translations from English language script to one of the community language/s above
