Community Engagement and Special Events

We are currently in need of volunteers to assist with staging/starting line support for the Chinatown Spring Festival Parade. Please see below for more details: 

Role: 2026 Chinatown Spring Festival Parade Staging and Starting Line Volunteer

Date/Time: Sunday, February 22nd from 9:30am-1:00pm (please arrive at least 15 minutes before your shift start time to allow for a short briefing)

Meeting Place: SUCCESS Headquarters, Choi Hall (28 West Pender Street, Vancouver BC)

Staging/Starting Line volunteers will be stationed at the at the very beginning of the parade, at the Chinatown Millenium Gate right outside of the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. office. The duties are as follows:

• Assist with crowd control around staging/starting line area
• Help ensure the parade floats are lined up and ready to go when it is time
• Ad-hoc tasks as assigned by captain

Please dress appropriately for the weather and prepare for rain/snow. NO OPEN TOED SHOES. Lunch will likely be provided after your shift, so we suggest eating before your shift and/or bringing a snack to tie over.
