Special Events - 2026 Walk with the Dragon: VIP/Media Reception Check-in and Support Volunteer
The 41st Annual Walk with the Dragon is returning on July 19, 2026, at Lumbermen’s Arch, Stanley Park. The S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation is thrilled to welcome the community back for this signature event in support of vital S.U.C.C.E.S.S. programs. This year, our fundraising goal is $425,000, helping us continue to serve and strengthen our community. Join us as we come together to celebrate a vibrant community and support a great cause!
VIP/Media Reception Check-in and Support Volunteer
Date/Location/Time: Sunday, July 19th at Lumbermen's Arch, Stanley Park: 7:30am-1:00pm
Duties:
- Help guide walkers along the route
- Give directions for more confusing parts of the route (esp. on the 3 km route)
- Cheer walkers on
- Assist with walkers as needed
- Give out water to walkers at water station
- Make sure water station area is free of litter
- Clean up & load out materials
Qualifications:
- Minimum age 16 years old
- Conversational English ability, will be interacting with general public
- Ability to read Chinese is an asset
Volunteer t-shirt will be provided. Light refreshments/snacks will also be provided but also feel free to bring any additional food/drinks you may need. The event is rain or shine, so please dress appropriately for the weather (sunscreen, comfortable shoes, etc.)
