Annual Day of Service! - Lazarus House: Shelter dinner prep and kitchen/household cleaning
From 9:30 am - 12:00 noon, this team will bring ingredients to make a dinner and dessert to serve 19 people, along with some kitchen clean up if time allows. (up to 6 volunteers)
Opened in 1983, Lazarus House Ministries has 50+ full and part-time staff, 5000+ volunteers, and 6500 donors working together to serve the most vulnerable people of Lawrence, MA. They offer community, food, shelter, clothing, and advocacy services with open and non-judgmental hearts, striving to serve every individual encountered with dignity and respect.
The Family Shelter is home to 6 families and 4 single women. The program offers individualized advocacy with guidance and goal setting, prepared meals, laundry, and accountability – all things that help prepare women and families to be self-sufficient. It is a community that provides a safe and loving environment.
