About us
Tŷ Hafan is a leading Welsh children's charity, with our hospice and headquarters based in Sully, Vale of Glamorgan.
We provide comfort, care and fun to children with life-shortening conditions, whilst supporting their families and helping them to make a short life, a full life; creating precious memories and helping them to make the most of the time they have together.
Tracy Jones, Director of Family Wellbeing and Outreach Services for Tŷ Hafan, said: “When families are told that their child’s life is going to be short, their whole world changes. It changes again when they realise they must consider end of life care, and again, when they finally lose their child.
“Tŷ Hafan is there to provide endless support to families from the moment their world changes.
“We can’t give a family more time, but Tŷ Hafan can make sure those families who find themselves facing a nightmare such as those faced by families in our care, have the time and the support they need.”
About our Tŷ Hafan shops
With 18 locations across South & West Wales, our shops are pivotal in raising funds to help us provide comfort, care and support to children and their families across Wales.
As well as raising funds, our shops are a presence in the communities we serve and are an important means of promoting the Tŷ Hafan brand in the community.
Our shops are managed by a small paid team with the support of our volunteers, who so generously give up their time, and with the support of our donors whose stock allow us to keep our shops full and appealing to our customers.
Why do we need your help?
Each of our shops is unique thanks to our diverse shop teams and the fantastic donations we receive from our supporters. We want to celebrate and promote our shops to increase engagement and brand reputation, in the hopes of encouraging more people to shop with us, donate to us, volunteer with us and to become supporters of Tŷ Hafan.

About us
Tŷ Hafan is a leading and much-loved charity that provides life-changing care and support to children with life-shortening conditions and their families who live in Wales.
At our welcoming and vibrant hospice in Sully, and in communities and homes across the country, we do all we can to help families enjoy time together and create precious memories.
We’re also a safe and loving haven when a child is close to the end of their life, providing comfort and expert care in a family’s darkest hours and beyond.
Put simply, we are a vital lifeline to our families. Easing their worries. Giving them hope of a brighter future. And helping them enjoy life again.
What do we mean by life-shortening?
We use the term life-shortening to describe a child not expected to live beyond 18 years of age.
A Wales where every child with a life-shortening condition lives a fulfilling life, supported with the compassion and specialist care they and their family need.
No family should have to face the unimaginable loss of their child alone. With children and families at the heart of all we do, we provide free care and support in our hospice and in the community, offering a lifeline throughout the child’s short life, at end of life, through bereavement and beyond.
We make a difference by...
Every year Tŷ Hafan has to raise £4.5 million to provide its free services to families in Wales.
