Welcome to Community Volunteer Services and Parkridge Centre!  We are thrilled that volunteers can now return to provide service within our long term care home and the community.

 Within the Community Volunteer Services and Parkridge Centre, our focus is on providing volunteer opportunities that support the health of the communities that we serve.

Volunteer Opportunities

Saskatoon - Meals on Wheels Volunteer

Various routes available.  Shift times are Monday - Friday delivered over the lunch hours  (11:00-1:00)  

 

Meals on Wheels Volunteers deliver nutritious meals to clients assessed as needing support with nutrition.

 

What you will gain:

Personal accomplishment, develop and enhance communication skills, learn new job skills & obtain a work routine, being involved & giving back to community.

 

Volunteers pick up meals at given time from the outlet and delivers to client in their home. We are asking for a minimum of 1 shift a week for up to 6 months.

Please note: Volunteers will need their own personal vehicle and a valid drivers license. 

 

   

PRC - Neighborhood Volunteer Volunteer

Spending 1:1 time with our residents or leading small group activities.

Volunteers would provide ongoing support for our residents on a regular basis. Providing activities such as: going for walks on PRC property but off the unit; doing crafts; reading with residents; using the iPad with residents to help them with interactive activities; listening to music with residents.
Volunteers will need to be independent on the neighborhood, creative and a desire to make meaningful connections with our residents.
 
Times: Varies. Mornings, afternoons Monday to Friday

PRC - Community Day Program Volunteer

Mondays to Fridays

10:00-12:00 and 1:00-3:00

Volunteers share their time & efforts to support staff with their daily and monthly activity programs. The volunteer supplies that extra pair of “helping hands” that add to the trained services of the Community day program staff working together to enhance the lives of clients.

Volunteers will have a sense of fulfillment and purpose by providing support for a variety of programs that stimulate the mental, social, emotional, and physical well-being of residents.

Parkridge Centre & Meal On Wheels

Parkridge Centre
